Summary
This role is responsible for planning and executing logistics for a broad scope of marketing and promotional activities. The sr. coordinator works directly with various departments, external vendors and fans to ensure applicable components of in-game and community-based events are clearly communicated and timelines are met. The Sr. Coordinator will assist in the planning and execution of marketing programs to ensure the entire fan experience is properly presented.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• In collaboration with other members of marketing, special events, and operations team, responsible for planning/recommending the activities, logistics and execution of large scale and milestone marketing events, (eg. Opening Day Street Festival, Caravan and FanFest, HOF weekend, faith and family night, dog day, etc).
• Assist in the systematic project tracking system that incorporates all elements of the premium item process including: bids, art, samples and contracts to ensure that all steps are executed in a timely fashion.
• Develop premium item one-sheets including: description, price, sponsor art deadline, distribution and picture of item, etc. for Sponsorship Department to pitch to sponsors.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate clear, concise information to a variety of internal/external stakeholders, vendors, etc.
• Collaborate with television partner to ensure they have all promotions samples, allowing them to pre-promote at least two weeks prior to the game date.
• Assist in all promotional activities related to Astros home games by coordinating the logistics of all premium items and gate giveaways
• Support Manager with execution of on-field activities pregame and in-game.
• Support Fan Experience Dept in ideation of milestone pregame ceremonies such as Opening Day, Deployment Ceremonies, 4th of July, etc
• Responsible for identifying new revenue driving opportunities for the department that provide additional revenue streams that meet short and long term departmental goals (College Nights, Dog Club, etc.)
• Accountable and responsible for the management, development, and revenue goals set forth for the Astros Buddies Kids Club, including but not limited to: website content development and messaging, communication plan, database management, and fulfilment to the customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
• 3+ years of promotional experience with a sports organization or similar work-related function

Work Environment
This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and photocopiers. The noise level is usually moderate but can be loud within the stadium environment.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and focused vision. Needs to be able to lift 40lbs.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including; extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
