The VP, Media Licensing Sales leads the sales team for Hearst Magazines International licensing business. This role will be responsible for managing the sales team and being an individual contributor. Reporting to the President, Hearst Magazines International, this role will partner closely with marketing, operations, editorial, client services and digital strategy teams to ensure alignment on brand strategy, growth opportunities, and marketing efforts. The VP, Media Licensing Sales plays a fundamental role in the growth of the media licensing business and requires strategic and creative thinking to optimally support the team and our network of global partners.
What You'll Do
• Drive the expansion of our media licensing business globally with new media licensing partnerships
• Research, prospect, present, and close business
• Execute sales tactics, implement marketing strategies, and deliver effective sales presentations with passion
• Analyze and track competitive performance and create strategies to earn a greater share of business than the competition
• Manage a team and business effectively and efficiently for future revenue projections
• Partner closely with marketing, product, editorial, and digital strategy teams to ensure the successful growth of our business
• Develop partner pitches and lead client pitch meetings, partnership conversations, and term negotiations
• Innovate and provide valuable feedback to improve sales and marketing strategies
• Collaborative and driven in nature to support your clients and their business needs
• Achieve and exceed sales quota, and contribute to the Hearst's overall metrics for success
Who You Are
• 10+ years of sales experience ideally in an international role
• Strong team management
• Ability to manage complex negotiations to successful closure
• Relationship builder, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proven track record translating marketing and promotional objectives into measurable results
• Ability to balance competing priorities and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
The base salary for this role is between $200,000 to $220,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
