Key Responsibilities (What You'll Be Doing)
• Oversee video post-production across multiple Hearst Magazines brands, ensuring high-quality execution and adherence to brand standards
• Review video cuts and provide clear, actionable feedback on continuity, graphics, audio, framing, pacing, and brand conventions
• Manage a high-volume slate of 30–40 videos simultaneously, balancing priorities and ensuring timely reviews and delivery
• Serve as the primary liaison between producers and editors, resolving technical issues and streamlining workflows
• Maintain rigorous quality control standards so all content meets brand and team expectations
• Track project progress, deadlines, and deliverables to keep post-production schedules on track
• Stay current on post-production trends, tools, and best practices to continuously elevate output
• Mentor and support editors by sharing post-production guidance and fostering a collaborative, positive team environment
Qualifications (What We're Looking For)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a post-production supervisor with a strong understanding of the full post-production process
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across editors, producers, and stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail and a refined eye for visual and audio quality
• Proficiency in video editing software and familiarity with post-production workflows
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
• Solid understanding of brand guidelines and maintaining brand identity across content
• Experience working across a variety of video formats, including series and branded content
• Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent time management and prioritization abilities
• Passion for video production and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
• This role is in-person in New York City, with an expectation of working onsite four days per week
The base pay rate for this role is between $45–$46 per hour. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
