Your impact:
Seventeen is seeking a social-obsessed editor to plan, share, and create content for our millions of followers across our various channels. This person will oversee daily programming to Facebook and Twitter, while managing our Instagram and TikTok strategies. Reporting to the editor-in-chief, this editor will be responsible for bringing Seventeen's social presence to life through audience development techniques that grow brand awareness, followers, and traffic referrals to Seventeen.com . The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of social media trends amongst Gen Z readers, has a passion for the teen lifestyle space, and can identify new content opportunities. What you'll do:
• Manage and plan the daily programming of Seventeen's Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts
• Work with the editorial team to craft content ideas and headlines that are optimized for social platforms by using data and analytics tools to track emerging news and trending social topics that are relevant to our audiences
• Manage TikTok calendar and content plan, including working with talent and filming videos as needed
• Work with our design team to create original content and franchises for our social media channels, particularly Instagram
• Work with our video team to optimize, promote, and schedule video content on social media channels
• Oversee Apple News strategy and programming
• Work with the editorial team to brainstorm larger social initiatives and programs
• Track performance of social media posts and referrals daily to help guide editorial strategy, and share relevant updates with the editorial team
• Support Seventeen's sales and marketing teams in any social-related promotions
• Lead monthly social media recap meetings with the editorial team
• Promote diversity, ensuring that content reflects the diverse and wide-reaching nature of our audience.

Who you are:
• You have 2 to 3 years of post-grad experience working with social media for a major brand, successfully increasing followers, engagement, and traffic
• You have a deep understanding of teen culture and Gen Z
• You know TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter trends and key competitive brands online
• You use Google Analytics, Dash Hudson, SocialFlow, or similar reporting and scheduling tools, as well as other basic digital production tools/content management systems
• You are a strategic, creative thinker and self-starter who knows how to bring fresh, innovative ideas to life
• You are highly organized and detail-oriented
• You have a sense of humor and a clear, snappy writing style
• You have experience producing multimedia content and/or knowledge of video- and photo-editing platforms
