Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Director, Research Innovation to join our Hearst Magazines team. This role will be responsible for leading and executing research initiatives that support our editorial, marketing, and sales goals. You will leverage syndicated tools, custom research projects, and data management skills to generate insights and recommendations that drive our digital strategy and growth.

Resonsibilities:
• Manage and oversee the research innovation for the existing Research team, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to deadlines and budgets.
• Develop and implement research methodologies and frameworks that address key business questions and objectives.
• Utilize syndicated tools such as Comscore, MRI, Nielsen, and others to provide competitive analysis, audience profiling, and market trends.
• Design and execute custom research projects, such as surveys, online communities, neuroscience techniques, to provide deeper insights into consumer behavior, preferences, and needs.
• Analyze and synthesize data from multiple sources, using advanced statistical techniques and data visualization tools, to generate actionable insights and recommendations.
• Communicate and present research findings and implications to internal and external stakeholders, using clear and compelling storytelling and data visualization.
• Collaborate with editorial, marketing, and sales teams to provide research support and guidance for content creation, audience development, and revenue generation.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the digital media and research space.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, Psychology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in digital media research, preferably in a publisher, agency, or research vendor setting.
• Expertise in using syndicated tools such as Comscore, MRI, Nielsen, and others to provide competitive analysis, audience profiling, and market trends.
• Experience in designing and executing custom research projects using various platforms and vendors.
• Strong data analysis and data management skills, with proficiency in Excel, SPSS, SQL, Tableau, Looker or similar tools.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear and compelling stories and visualizations.
• Strong project management and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for digital media and innovation, with a curiosity for consumer behavior and trends.

The base salary for this role is from $145,000 to $174,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
