Job Description

The Senior Analyst, Yield will use their understanding of digital ad inventory, pricing and media planning to help drive revenue for Hearst Magazines. They'll develop reporting and communicate insights to help drive new strategies to grow revenue.

As part of the Pricing & Yield function within Ad Revenue Operations, they will dive into data, build reports and communicate opportunities to our stakeholders. Insights can create outcomes, and we aim to provide intelligence to help drive collaborative discussion and prioritization across the Revenue operation. The Senior Analyst will be responsible for creating new processes and reporting based on the needs of the business.

What You'll Do

The Senior Analyst, Yield will focus on providing actionable reporting and insights about our inventory and monetization efforts, with the goal of enabling their partners in Sales and Client Success to execute deals that meet our clients needs.
• In pre-sale, they will monitor overall inventory utilization across the Hearst portfolio, highlighting opportunities, assisting with media packaging and planning, and handle ad hoc queries.
• In order to ensure our offerings continue to meet client needs, the Senior Analyst will monitor delivery and performance for a suite of our ad products. They will proactively identify issues and work to diagnose, offering recommendations for solutions for current and future deals.
• Collaborate with our Client Success and Campaign Management teams to provide analysis on growth areas and to assist with risk mitigation.
• Work with Pricing counterparts to monitor post-sale performance to ensure proper implementation of business rules and pricing principles.
• Partner with Finance teams to balance needs between financial reporting, and operational analysis, insights, and recommendations.
• Develop and maintain a clear understanding of all primary source data: SalesForce (CRM), AdPoint (OMS), ad server data transfer files (GAM), and any other sources that help us better understand how our advertisers meet our audiences.

Who You Are
• 2-3 years advertising yield or analytics experience. Minimum 4-5 years in media, advertising required.
• Experience building inventory reports, rate analyses, and profit models required.
• BA/BS degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience. Masters Degree preferred.
• Deep understanding of digital web analytics, audience and automated buying channels.
• Must have strong written and verbal skills.
• Highly competent user of Excel, Salesforce and other reporting platforms.
• Ability to ''see past the numbers'', adapt to change and effectively explain concepts to audiences with varying levels of experience/understanding.

The base salary for this role is from $85,000 to $100,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
