Job Description
Hearst Television in Charlotte, NC is looking for a Sales Planner. You will work with sales on inputting, maintaining and stewardship of national account orders. You will report to the Senior Manager, National Ad Ops. Excellent email and verbal communication and problem-solving skills are required. You must show enthusiasm, work initiative, and possess strong organizational and computer skills, including MS Office. Accuracy and the ability to interact with Corporate and Station Sales Management, Account Executives, and Agency clients in a professional manner is essential. Learning database and industry software is required, across all media platforms (Linear and Digital). Responsibilities
• Assist National Sales Managers, across the country, with order processing, verification, maintenance, pre-emption/makegoods, and stewardship
• Assist in the preparation and revision of cross-platform plans/proposals in collaboration with Sales Management and Account Executives to meet client objectives.
• Order maintenance (revision, makegoods) on previously approved orders, including communication to Agency/Client contacts.
• Actively track deal delivery, liability, and prepare ADU schedules for linear.
• Provide post summaries of campaign performance data to Clients and Account Executives.
• Review all incoming orders/IOs to ensure they match approved media plans.
• Resolve order/invoice billing discrepancies
• Develop and foster key relationships with Sales Management and Agency/Client contacts.
• Work closely with and effectively communicate directly with agency/client contacts for general account support and campaign assistance.
• Update CRM database with pending deals.
• Develop a good understanding of Nielsen ratings, Wide Orbit, Kantar and other CRM and Sales/Research tools.
• Provide support and training to Ad Operations and Station personnel on various Sales tools used across the group.
• Assist in the maintenance of Unwired orders as needed.
• Provide support to Account Executives/Sales Management and complete additional projects as directed.

Requirements
• Can deal with the stresses and pressures of time-sensitive projects
• Excellent social, intrapersonal, and presentation skills
• Proficient in Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets)
• Related military experience will be considered
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Must be highly focused, organized, and detail oriented.
• Ability to consistently meet deadlines in a challenging and dynamic environment.
• Work cooperatively with managers, co-workers, and clients to deliver a high level of service.
• Capable of learning new software systems promptly and thoroughly.
• Must take pride in work, respond to instructions well, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy working independently if necessary.
• Proficiency in all programs of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Teams), as well as video conferencing platforms such as Teams, Zoom, Ring, and Webex.
• Working knowledge of WideOrbit, WOC, and WOMS is preferred.
• In person-attendance is required
