Job Description
The Manager, HR Operations will support data management and integrity in the Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) system, as well as overall compliance efforts for the Hearst Magazines division.

This role will communicate directly with employees and HR, and work collaboratively with other departments including Payroll, Finance, Legal, Tech Services, centralized HCM Operations, and others.

Resonsibilities:
• Contribute to the development, communication and implementation of general policies and procedures.
• Help to establish, track, and achieve process improvement goals and work cross-functionally to ensure alignment.
• Participate in regular data audits to ensure overall data quality and accuracy.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment requirements for data and record keeping; take a lead role in annual filings.
• Generate and analyze reports to fulfill ad hoc reporting requests.
• Oversee adherence to employment guidelines for our temporary workforce, including onboarding, hours auditing, offboarding, and relationship management with our outside agency.
• Manage administrative requirements related to our union population, including record keeping, system updates, payroll deductions, and reporting.
• Assist with other departmental initiatives, as required.

Qualifications:
• 2-3 years of experience in HR data analysis; ability to manage large datasets.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite, particularly intermediate to advanced Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong project management and problem-solving skills; ability to lead initiatives through to completion.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, critical thinker.
• Experience with federal reporting and associated requirements, including AAP, California Pay, VETS-4212, EEO-1, and others a plus.
• High degree of discretion and confidentiality.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Able to work independently or within a team.
• Enjoys a fast-moving, ever changing, deadline-driven environment.

This role requires the position to be located in New York, NY or Easton, PA with an in-office presence of 2+ days a week.

The base salary for this role in New York, NY is between $95,000 to $110,000 annually. The base salary for this role in Easton, PA is between $85,000 to $100,000 annually. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
