Job Description
Hearst Television's Washington Bureau is announcing a newly created position with a primary focus on White House and Congressional reporting and unbiased explanation of the political impact on communities in our local markets. In addition to providing reports across Hearst Television's 31 stations and additional Hearst media platforms, this position will focus on elevating Hearst reporting on a national level.

Job Responsibilities:

• This person will also serve as a Hearst national analyst and expert for outside networks, prominent podcasts, and other programming. This person will regularly attend White House briefings, developing and maintaining news sources and newsmaker contacts to help break stories.
• This position works in tandem with other Hearst correspondents breaking down issues that impact our local markets, not just reporting the national headlines.
• This person will also work closely with various stations to customize content and provide multi-platform content.

• Versatility is a must as reporters cover a wide range of topics and subjects, must be up to date on current events and able to react and respond to developing situations and continuing coverage.
