The Hearst Magazines, Enthusiast & Wellness Group, oversees a portfolio of brands that include Oprah Daily, Women's Health, Men's Health, Runner's World, Popular Mechanics, and more.

Your impact:

The Enthusiast & Wellness Group is looking for a Group Brand Director, to play a critical role in our group's evolution of data-driven, membership content & brand strategy. This position will deeply understand each of our brands and our audiences in order to help shape a clear value proposition and brand identity. You will help us articulate why we exist, who we serve, and what value we have to offer across all channels. This position will be the subject matter expert for content related to member engagement and acquisition, as well as new product and subscription initiatives.

The ideal candidate has an editorial and brand management background with a successful track record exceeding goals. (i.e. traffic, product sales, subscriptions etc.) This role is highly cross-functional and will work alongside Editorial, Creative, Public Relations, Marketing Operations, Membership Operations, Sales, Video, Product & Technology, and more.

What you'll do for the Enthusiast and Wellness Group:
• Lead brand strategy across all channels including site, newsletter, social, PR, etc.
• Improve brand consistency and recognition through centralized brand guidelines, tone, and values that everyone can use when communicating with our audience.
• Lead consumer product development strategy as it relates to driving membership and commerce growth.
• Lead development of our consumer facing membership value proposition for each Enthusiast and Wellness program.
• Develop and write content for various channels that drives consumer value and revenue growth.
• Work with Consumer Insights team to develop a strong understanding of what members want from us.
• Work with SVP, Growth and Consumer Experience, on our overall membership growth strategy and membership product development.
• Support editorial teams on overall content strategy and messaging and create new content that drives impact and engagement with members and non-members.
• Create best practices that help non-writers implement accurate messaging across formats and channels.
• Build strong working relationships with leaders across the company including Editorial, Audience Development, Operations, Consumer Insights, etc.
• Manage quarterly priorities and content development life cycles to ensure timely delivery of material.
• Develop and manage a content marketing calendar that fits nicely beside our broader editorial slate.
• Support Brand Strategist on marketing materials for advertisers, licensees, partner platforms, etc.

Who you are:
• 3-5 years of editorial experience.
• 4-6 years in brand management or e-commerce marketing with a proven track record of delivering results.
• Familiarity with video development and distribution
• Excellent written marketing communication skills and strong attention to detail
• Ability to inspire and motivate others to take action through engaging digital content.
• Self-starter
• Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance
• Strong understanding of marketing principles, branding, and positioning strategies.
• Creative mindset with a passion for thinking outside the box.

The base salary for this role is between $129,000 and $150,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
