Job Description
Hearst Magazines is seeking an experienced Executive Sales Director to join the Beauty, Wellness, and Retail Pod focused on generating ad revenue for key accounts across all 25+ brands within the Hearst portfolio. This position reports into the Category Lead and is responsible for driving revenue across our multi-media landscape of digital, social, and print. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter who operates as a strategic advisor to their clients and is comfortable navigating highly matrixed organizations. Success in this role requires a focus on relationship building, client education, determination, and extreme attention to detail that will drive results.
Resonsibilities:
What You'll Do
• Manage your designated account list with top clients and provide revenue projections on a quarterly cadence
• Effectively communicate clients' key KPIs to cross-functional partners in marketing, research, content, and talent in response to RFPs and develop proactive client proposals
• Execute sales tactics, implement marketing strategies, and deliver effective sales presentations to senior client and agency leads
• Provide strong knowledge of key distribution platforms (Digital, Programmatic, Social, Print) that are top priorities for your respective category and help our customers navigate integrated platform opportunities
• Provide valuable feedback to management including specific category solutions to improve sales and marketing strategies
• Achieve and exceed revenue quotas with solutions that speak to client needs
Qualifications:
Who You Are
• 7+ years of relevant media and sales experience working with highly matrixed accounts
• Analytical, strategic thinker, creative problem solver, and resourceful
• A self-starter who instinctively takes charge has a positive 'team player' approach who is comfortable in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment
• Relationship builder, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Deep industry contacts and extensive relationships with client and agency partners in the beauty and retail industries
• An individual who works well within a corporate and creative environment
• Superior attention to detail and timely follow-through is critical
This role requires the position to be located in New York, NY with an in-office presence of 3 days a week.
The base salary for this role is between $163,000 to $195,000 annually. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
