Job Description
Very Local, Hearst Television's streaming platform, is seeking a Clearance Coordinator to be a key member of the post-production team's Quality Control process. As a Clearance Coordinator, you will assist in fulfilling the responsibilities of the day-to-day video clearance, QC and asset archival process, ensuring that content is ready for air.

The ideal candidate is an organized self-starter, adaptable, who excels in a deadline-driven environment, and is highly motivated to problem solve and be a key team player for our internal operations team.

This position reports to the Post-Production Supervisor.

Job responsibilities:
• Work with Producers to file and reconcile talent/location/IP releases.
• Review rough cuts to determine any infractions of Standards & Practices to be addressed.
• Flag any rights and clearances issues from music, video or photos.
• Create clearance cues (i.e. blur/bleep list) and credit lists.
• Assess Finishing Review edits to determine compliance with Standards & Practices and Clearance.
• QC caption files.
• Create and curate Music Cue Sheets.
• Archive final episode assets and metadata to our Media Asset Management System.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Digest materials/documents, and have the ability to recognize and extract critical data.
• Can work across departments and collaborate with all teams.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Advanced communication skills (written and verbal),
• Ability to adhere to deadlines, execute tasks and handle multiple, diverse assignments while producing quality work with accountability.
• Manage time productively
• Computer skills, including Adobe, Microsoft and Google Suites.
• Knowledge of AirTable is a plus.
• Reality TV experience is a plus.
• Editing experience is a plus.
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team with minimal supervision.
• Ability to take constructive feedback well and provide creative solutions.
