The Team
Bleacher Report's Video Production and Technology team is looking to hire a Technical Production Manager to support in our busy studio/live production environment. This full time position will be assisting our production and technology team at our studios and control rooms in NYC.
The Daily
• Participate in production meetings & ideation sessions for assigned productions and plan and participate in technical execution of live productions
• Communicate proactively and efficiently with clear concise messaging regarding technology around production.
• Own and follow up on any issues encountered during live events and know who to escalate items to.
• Work with streaming ops for platform transmissions for appropriate distribution channels and make sure crew members technical concerns are listened to and addressed if needed.
• Gather and send production documents prior to event, including but not limited to: run of show, call sheet, social pushing creative and copy, tech books, escalation plan, etc.
• Develop standard operating procedures and other documentation for the operations team. Documentation with clear concise information is key to a scalable live operation.
• Plan redundancies for mission critical live productions.
The Essentials
• Minimum 3-5 years in Broadcast technology career (preferably Tech manager but maybe technical director)
• Excellent communication/interpersonal skills with proactive approach to workplace.
• Technical understanding of all live broadcast gear
• Excellent knowledge of signal flow of feeds, working in control rooms and in broadcast high pressure facility.
• Interested in staying on top of trends/new gear
• (4) years of College with bachelors in communications/production or technical degree.
• Some display of certifications and self study including networking, audio, video or transmissions
