Job Description
The Social Media team is part of the HBO Max EMEA Streaming team, and you will collaborate closely within the team to grow brand love and content fandom across Swedish hyper-local social channels. You will act as the Social Media Lead for Sweden, owning the HBO Max social accounts and specialize to become an expert in the areas of hyper-local content & audiences. The aim is to engage legacy fans, expand audiences, grow awareness and engagement of the HBO Max service, and drive local content awareness & intent to watch long-term. You will work closely with the local teams on the ground as well as the broader EMEA Social team.As a Lead in Sweden, you're the owner of and responsible for the local HBO Max handles and their activities incl. its True Organic & Editorial content strategy and publishing, aligning with the EMEA streaming social team (especially the Nordic team), to adapt and localize relevant content and publish on social channels making sure the content you publish represent the communities we talk to through diversity and inclusion. You stay on top of and tap into local social trends and collaborate with local partners on events and campaigns. You create local visibility and are accountable for local performance.
You align on localization with the copywriting team within your markets incl. tailoring social copy to your markets, and ensuring quality post copy, captions, image copy. etc.
You collaborate with CX on best-in-class community management and crisis management.
You lead and execute on specific local originals content campaigns (ideation, production, copywriting, publishing) and create library content for our local handles in collaboration with the rest of the social team.
Your KPIs will be tied to Global Social, awareness & retention as well as company objectives (sales and retention), and you will be responsible for creating campaign strategies for local tentpole social content and execute those campaigns in collaboration with the in-house creative agency as well as the performance strategy & optimization team for campaigns. You will collaborate with your team to become best-in-class when it comes to organic social, representing and driving awareness and engagement for our brand and content.
Your New Role
Your unique areas of responsibility within the team include:
• Lead and accountable for post strategy and planning activities across HBO Max social in Sweden to ensure relevant and authentic local presence + a strong collaboration with the Nordic streaming social teams to adapt relevant content to be published on the social channels. You coordinate with title leads on original HBO Max titles and align with the scheduling agency on the post plan
• Co-leading original local productions, ensuring coordination with network team on materials, ensuring best performing formats are being adapted on the streaming channels, and reporting on local production performance on the HBO Max channels. You will have a close collaboration with the Nordic social team. You strive to drive engagement and awareness through hyper-local content
• Serving as the POC within the team for Swedish original productions: ensuring relevant campaigns are adapted & localized + presence in True Organic feed through collaboration processes & alignment on priorities, formats, best practices etc.
• Working to improve the channels' performance by collaborating w the Social Performance team on ongoing reporting and performance analysis
As part of the Organic Social Streaming team, your areas of responsibility include:
• Managing and owning your local Social Media handles (IG, TT, FB)
• Collaborating closely with local stakeholders across the business
• Creating, planning, managing, executing, and evaluating organic social media campaigns focused on engagement, retention, and community building for our brand and content
• Working creatively with the content of the service to build awareness, drive engagement, and conversation on social media
• Owning the daily interaction with our fans, customers, and prospects working with the CX team, ensuring they're informed, engaged, and following our tone-of-voice
• Ensuring we are listening to, engaging with, and influencing our fans, prospects, and customers on social media
• Monitoring and reporting on audience sentiments and trends
• Staying on top of social media creative trends and ensuring top level social media marketing campaigns locally on key titles locally
Skills and Experience Required
• 3+ years' experience in social media/marketing or similar
• Experience in a media entertainment or agency environment working with talent
• Great understanding of fan communities
• Great knowledge of and understanding of our brands
• Strong skills in creative ideation & copywriting in Swedish
• Campaign planning skills
• Fluency in written and spoken English. Great communication skills and relationship management
• A genuine, enthusiastic, and passionate fan of pop culture and new trends with knowledge and excitement for our content and product
