The Team

Bleacher Report is looking to hire a Senior Remote Operations Technician to work in our ever-growing remote technical operations department. This Full-Time position will be working with our video production, media, and tech teams for all remote operations. Although this position focuses on all remote operations, it is preferred the position be easily accessible to Bleacher Report's offices located in NYC.

The Daily
• Perform site surveys, remote contributor builds, and/or studio productions to support all departments of Bleacher Report and collaborations within Warner Media Sports
• Maintain the technical quality and aesthetic look of the B/R Brand when it comes to all remote technical operations
• Act as technical/operational lead for all Tier-3 and Tier-4 level broadcasts including troubleshooting, equipment procurement, vendor coordination, crew management, and responsible for overall technical execution of the remote broadcast or event
• Plan, maintain, and execute all internal/external remote operational workflows and create documentation for any remote technical processes, equipment, or standards
• Understand enterprise level audio/video production gear and maintain relationships with vendors to keep all remote production equipment up to industry standards
• Be able to technical manage and operate complex remi broadcast flypack equipment
• Be able to execute and perform all tasks and responsibilities for remote productions and builds with and without on-site support and on-site direct supervision

The Essentials
• Bachelor's degree in Television/Video production
• 5-7 years' experience working in a media production environment
• Prior live/studio/remote operation experience is necessary and prior experience as a technical manager on remote productions or equivalent production experience required
• Ability to travel with short notice and receive work in form of short-term assignments that often require application of independent judgement while in-house or on the road
• Hands-on experience setting-up and operating remote broadcast hardware preferred
• Advanced knowledge of remote operations including experience with broadcast trucks, transmission, wireless/RF video and audio, and remote flypack equipment
• Perform tasks under tight deadlines, work independently, and manage simultaneous projects with a strong attention to detail, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
• Experience creating and maintaining professional relationships with a wide variety of vendors, organizations, producers, and freelance staff
