The Job
HBO Europe is looking for a Public Relations Coordinator to the join team based in Zagreb, Croatia on a 12-month fixed term contract.
The role is responsible for supporting all PR related activities. This may involve issuing and promoting press releases, maintaining social media presence and arranging large scale events and press junkets.

The Daily
• Improving and maintaining existing close relationships with media in Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina and constantly working on increasing press coverage
• Developing and implementing PR strategy for HBO GO service and HBO & Cinemax channels
• Leading PR campaigns for chosen shows, including HBO US & EU original programming as well as other acquired shows
• Supporting and cooperating effectively with partners inside the company, especially with social, marketing and sales depts. in order to achieve common business goals
• Writing and distributing press releases, weekly and monthly programming highlights
• Planning, organizing and executing larger scale events, press junkets and screening events
• Cooperation with the film and documentary festivals, as well as with the other public manifestations with the potential of strengthening HBO brand perception and awareness
• Evaluating executed PR campaigns and providing press coverage presentations and reports
• Securing placements for interviews with cast and crew of series available on HBO
• Working with assigned studios to create press opportunities for HBO CE PR team (materials, interviews, etc.)

The Essentials
• Proven experience as a Public Relations Officer or similar PR role
• Experience managing media relations (online, broadcast and print)
• Knowledge and background in researching, writing and editing publications
• Strong local media knowledge
• Proficient in MS Office and on major social media platforms
• Confident when working independently and proactive
• Strong communication ability (oral and written)
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work well under pressure
• Creativity and problem-solving aptitude

The Nice to Haves
• BSc/BA in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or a related field
• Experience working with TV content and digital content
• Existing contacts in the entertainment industry
• Experience working on influencer strategies
