The Job

The People Partner provides HR delivery to all parts of WarnerMedia in the territory, including Warner Bros., HBO, Turner and the WarnerMedia corporate functions. The role is responsible for advising managers in the territory on how to appropriately manage and resolve HR issues including, but not limited to, performance management, employee relations, employee development, compensation, internal mobility, staff retention, people acquisition, headcount and position management, and compliance matters, working closely with the People Partner Lead, People Solutions, COEs, HRS, Employment- and Corporate- Legal teams as required.

Please note: this role can be based in either Munich or Istanbul.

The Daily
• Provide day-to-day generalist HR support to all business areas in the territory (or specific business areas/teams, as directed by the People Partner Lead).
• Support the execution of local / regional / global HR programmes and project.
• Where appropriate, attend BU leadership meetings together with People Partner Lead to communicate upcoming HR programmes and initiatives.
• Work together with the People Partner Lead to support business needs, short-term HR goals and the longer-term people strategy.
• Support the Talent Leaders and Finance on annual budgeting, forecasting, and tracking of all ongoing people costs.
• In collaboration with the WMI Reward team, provide advice and support to managers on employee compensation matters (including benchmarking/pricing), remaining up to date with local market trends and practices.
• Working closely with the Talent Leaders, manage the annual merit review (and bonus schemes) ensuring fair, consistent and appropriate rewards in line with budgets.
• Escalate complex team or people issues to People Partner Lead and/or Talent Leader in a timely fashion as appropriate.
• Take proactive steps to ensure all HR systems, local policies and procedures are updated regularly to take account of new and forthcoming employment legislation.
• Ensure Workday is updated regularly and properly maintained to facilitate accurate reporting and integrity of all people data.
• Encourage teamwork and collaboration in the local offices, looking for ways to increase affiliation to WarnerMedia whilst shedding legacy business affiliations and siloes.
• Foster a diverse and inclusive workplace and 'one company' mindset as a critical priority

The Essentials
• Solid experience in a generalist HR capacity supporting leaders and managers
• Experience supporting information and consultation obligations to Works Councils, Trade Unions and/or other employee representative bodies.
• Has a solid understanding of employment law across Germany and continuously looks for ways to keep up to date on the latest regulatory developments/changes
• Strong service delivery orientation in combination with an inquisitive mind and a highly collaborative nature and a real desire to help each of the business areas in the territory.
• Understands the importance of stakeholder management and considers who may be impacted by decisions/changes.
• Able to confidently balance the needs of the company, managers and employees.
• Committed to diversity and inclusion, employee engagement and fostering a 'one company' mindset in each territory.
• Strong communication and presentation skills (both written and oral) in both German/ Turkish and English.
