SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Analytics Engineering team at WarnerMedia provides all the end-to-end engineering support for our various US marketing stakeholders. This includes all the data modeling, architecture, design and enablement of our data visualizations for all our US marketing channels and lines of business.

As a Marketing Data Analyst you'll work closely with Marketing Technology, Data Engineering, and our various Marketing Analytics workstreams to help ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the vast amounts of data constantly being generated by our Partners, Marketing Tools, CRM System, Website and other 3rd party ad providers.

The Daily
• Learn how we leverage data towards optimizing our marketing campaigns and engagement with our subscribers and fans
• Build and deploy models and dashboards in Looker to help our business stakeholders measure campaign performance and optimize their paid media mix across channels
• Support ad-hoc reporting and performance monitoring for our dashboards, critical KPIs and daily data ingestions
• Orchestrate best-in-class data visualizations and presentations that convey insights that are meaningful and actionable
• Support the adoption and training of our analytics platform for self-service data discovery and reporting
• Investigate and automate data quality checks to ensure data accuracy and timeliness for all channels and lines of business
• Help define and document team processes end-to-end and support continuous, pro-active improvement of all of our platform integrations, data migrations and development best practices

The Essentials
• Advanced degree, preferably in a quantitative discipline (Math, Statistics, Operations Research, Economics, Information Systems, Engineering, or CS) or equivalent years of experience
• 2+ years of experience working with SQL and relational data (such as SQL Server, Oracle, Netezza, Snowflake, or Amazon Redshift)
• Advanced SQL skills for analysis, standardizing queries, and building data infrastructure involving large-scale relational datasets
• A knack and passion for diving deep into data exploration and discovery
• Experience using Python to parse, structure, and transform data
• Familiarity with Digital Marketing and tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook, Instagram, etc.
• Experience developing reporting and dashboards with modern BI tools, such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools
• Excellent communication skills to summarize analysis and recommendations
