Your New Role

This position oversees and manages the long-term financial planning for all of HBO and HBO Max original and acquired programming costs. It includes monthly forecasting of P&L and Cash, as well as monthly Cash management of actual spend. Target management is a key function, as well as cross-divisional coordination with the HBO Max and Corporate Cash teams to ensure alignment with company goals.

Your Role Accountabilities
• Oversee forecasting and budgeting of HBO and HBO Max original and acquired programming, distribution, and overhead costs, with strong focus on managing to our internal target and communicating changes to our HBO Max and Corporate partners.
• Manage the long-range plan for the head of HBO Max Programming as changes to the overall mix of programming are made and financial targets evolve. This monthly review requires coordination with Planning, Scheduling, and Production to ensure completeness of the deliverable.
• Strong focus is on cash spend and meeting monthly cash forecasts. Continuous coordination with Production Finance, Corporate, Business Affairs, and external vendors is required to ensure the accuracy of monthly results and have options in the event of any deviations from forecast.
• Oversee various operational aspects related to HBO Max, including the internal talent and development payment process, viewership data analysis for the programming amortization policy, and intercompany alignment as it relates to shared programming.
• Oversee the HBO finance planning team managing season over season models to track current production costs and forecast future series spend
• Maintain strong relations across Finance, Creative, Production, Business Affairs, Legal, and HR, with a focus on operational process improvements, accuracy of forecasts, and employee development.

Qualifications & Experience
• 15+ years of progressive FP&A experience, preferable in Entertainment Finance
• 10+ years of managing a large dynamic team
• Experience in both Cash Management and Corporate FP&A
• Ability to communicate effectively in real-time and operate collaboratively with other senior leaders across WBD
• Ability to lead effectively with minimal guidance with trust, integrity, and respect
• Ability to motivate and lead through organizational change and remain flexible in a constantly changing environment
• Excellent ability to manage multiple projects and hit aggressive deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills; ability to effectively communicate financial and business issues with finance and non-finance colleagues alike
• Excellent attention to detail. High quality, consistent deliverables.
• Occasional travel will be needed
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
• MBA and/or CPA required

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $388,570.00 - $721,630.00 salary per year.
