Home Box Office, Inc. seeks an Executive Assistant for the HBO General Inc.-West Coast Business Affairs-Picture department. Our busy, dynamic department of Business Affairs, Credits & Clip licensing manages HBO Talent Obligations as they relate to on-screen credits, marketing, publicity. We approve all credit obligations on HBO WC Series, Film, Miniseries and Cinemax Original Programming, HBO Max and TNET shows and manage industry guild requirements (DGA, WGA, SAG, etc.) We also handle 3rd party requests to license HBO clips.

The Daily

Duties include: reviewing talent agreements, fulfilling industry guild requirements, capturing marketing and merchandising restrictions, tracking tax incentives and internal negotiations, and helping to attain HBO approvals. Assistant also supports internal credit approval, reviews, approves and drafts third party clip licensing requests, and arranges for media delivery and billing as needed. Position involves interfacing with different divisions within HBO (Creative, Production, Post-Production, Marketing, Media Relations, Business Affairs & Legal), as well as entertainment industry professionals in the field of production, post, legal and labor relations.

Job handles a high volume of sensitive information, which must be organized with attention to detail and a focus on deadlines and shifting priorities. Assistant maintains and creates files for each HBO project produced. Additional responsibilities include phones, scheduling, expense reports, etc. and support of the needs of the Credits/ Clips team.

The Essentials

Must be organized with strong communication skills and an ability to shift priorities in a busy work environment. Attention to detail, ability to multitask is essential. Sensitivity to confidential information and talent relations is necessary. Job involves some research skills and takes a self-starter. Candidate with experience in television production and post-production, as well as a background in clip licensing, is a plus. Great knowledge of new technologies and applications is a must!

Ability to interact with high level executives and entertainment talent; navigate and strategize regarding sensitive material; train and supervise temps and interns.
