Job Description
Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden (WBSL) is a purpose built, state-of-the-art film and television studio offering one of the largest facilities in the UK. This 200 acre secure site has half a million square feet of stage space, production offices and workshops together with an exterior filming tank, one of the largest indoor heated underwater filming tanks in Europe and a 100 acre back-lot. WBSL has some of the largest sound stages in the UK and is proving to be a very popular facility for production clients.

WB Leavesden Park, adjacent to the Studio, offers modern and flexible office space for Production Companies. The site also has its own, on-site Set Lighting & Rigging rental division, which provides the industry with state-of-the-art lighting equipment, scaffolding and production supplies for stage and location shoots. WB De Lane Lea based in Soho, London, provides state of the art facilities in audio post-production for feature films and television.

These facilities make Warner Bros. Entertainment the only Hollywood studio to own and operate a production and post-production facility in the UK.

The Job

Warner Bros. Studios are seeking a hardworking and ambitious Operations Assistant to support the Operations Manager and busy Client Services and Operations departments with the day to day running of the studios. This is an incredible opportunity for a highly motivated individual with a passion for the film industry to gain excellent knowledge of Backlot and Studio management.

The Daily
• Be the contact for all Backlot operations and supporting Stages, Workshops and Offices for Production clients, developing strong working relationships with key contacts
• To prioritise workloads, report on all works issued and completed and to react to the unexpected
• Liaise with productions and the Health and Safety Manager in the review of production risk assessments, health & safety, SOP's and emergency procedures
• Liaise with productions on specific Backlot activities, e.g. SFX and communicating any impact to wider WBSL departments
• Liaise with external customers and monitor the completion of works with third party suppliers
• Work closely with Security regarding production access and movements on the Backlot
• Assist the Backlot Operations Manager in enforcing health & safety policies and reporting all incidents/accidents to the Health and Safety Manager and Security
• Updating production shooting schedules and communicating to the wider team and WBSL departments
• Assist with the preparation and distribution of Studio memos to manage production activities and site behaviour
• Responsibility for departmental administrative duties including landlord checks and client allocation maps

The Essentials
• Proven experience of working as part of a team within a fast-moving often pressurized environment
• Ability to work to deadlines, often provided at short notice
• Computer literate, particularly Microsoft Office
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Driving License

The Nice-to-Haves
• Previous knowledge of/or an interest in the media, film or events industry
• Previous experience of working in an operational role
• Knowledge and practical application of basic health and safety
• IOSH qualification
