Job Description

HBO Max™ is WarnerMedia's direct-to-consumer streaming platform, offering best in class quality entertainment. HBO Max features the greatest array of storytelling for all audiences from the iconic brands of HBO, Warner Bros., DC, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Turner Classic Movies and more. The platform launched in the United States in May 2020 and introduced a lower priced, advertising-supported tier in June 2021. HBO Max began its global rollout launching in markets across Latin America and the Caribbean this summer, followed by its first European launches in the Nordics and Spain. It has been announced that HBO Max will continue its European expansion for a global reach of 67 countries in 2022.

The Job

You will be responsible for the successful delivery of the content to the Global Media Supply Chain, focusing on the delivery of content for the HBO Max Product. You will work with the Content Strategy team through to the Direct-to-Consumer team to make sure the content is visible and available to end users as well as transitioning all areas to be supported as part of Business as Usual.

The role will include working with departments within the Global Content Operations team. This includes metadata, video and localision of audio and subtitles. You will also work with teams outside of this department, which includes Content Strategy, Marketing, other PMOs, Scheduling, Images, Editorial, Publishing, Content Experience and Direct-to-Consumer teams.

The Daily
• Oversee and manage the full project lifecycle
• Create Project Initiation Documents, get them signed off and utilise the information within them to keep the project on track from a scope, timeline and budget perspective
• Manage cross functional project teams, by identifying the resources required and their roles and responsibilities, assigning and prioritising their work, setting up regular meetings for status updates and resolving issues statuses as well as ensuring deadlines are met
• Organise meetings by using your project communication plan. Develop agendas and desired outcomes as well as making sure the right team members are available across multiple timezones. Record and track meeting actions, so all parties understand what need to be completed and by when
• Create, monitor and control the project plan, including dependencies, the critical path and resources to make sure the project is running as agreed
• Run the change control process when required, based on the needs of the project and the current status
• Identify, manage and close any risks and issues which come up during the project. With the aim being to minimise any risks and to stop them from becoming an issue, which could impact the project baseline
• Identify project benefits, aligning them to strategic business goals and then the delivery of them through a benefits realisation plan
• Aid with the planning in the leadup to launches, running the workstream on launch day and tracking post launch items, which need to be seen to a conclusion or handed to Business-as-Usual teams
• Run regular retrospectives and at the end of the project a lessons learnt session to improve the delivery of the next set of HBO Max launches

The Essentials
• Proven track record and relevant experience as a project manager and/or delivery manager - In depth Project Management experience
• Experience with traditional Waterfall and Agile delivery methodology and development methods
• Experience of working with third parties and clearly defining their roles and responsibilities as well as making sure they deliver on time, to budget and high quality outputs for WarnerMedia to utilise
• Strong team player and ability to collaborate with and influence stakeholders (including external vendors) to resolve issues, constraints, and cross-project interdependencies
• Must be able to cope with being under pressure and at the forefront of the release of HBO Max across multiple countries
• Extensive usage of Microsoft Office Suite
• Have previously used Project Management Software

The Nice-to-Haves
• Experience with systems related to content and content processing
• Working knowledge of Clarizen PPM tool
• Understanding of how video streaming products work
• Undergraduate degree - preferred
• Project Management Certification (e.g. PRINCE2, AgilePM) - preferred
