Job Description

As the Data Lead, you'll be a part of a multinational team that specializes in data engineering, data science, and data analysis.You will be in charge of managing the whole data team (4 people). Reporting to the VP Marketing, you will liaise with the top management and all the different teams' managers.

Manage Data team
• Communicate team goals & vision clearly and establish a strategy in collaboration with top management to drive the team's goals & deliver projects as a team.
• Lead & equip the data team to meet the organisation's data needs & provide them with necessary training and resources & support.
• Connect with the team on technical topics and cross-team strategic projects;
• Coordinate and manage feedback from various stakeholders to optimise data processes;
• Collaborate to meet the diverse data demands of multiple teams (marketing, product, monetization, etc.);
• Benchmarking & developing new data analysis and tools to optimise performance and efficiency of the data team;
• Knowledge sharing and best practice collection with other Ubisoft studios.

Data Analysis :
• Production of key data models for the proper functioning of our games,
• Help the team build queries and create various product & marketing dashboards using data visualization tools.
• Ensure the implementation and analysis of A/B tests in our games, to help product team make data-driven decisions,
• Monitor the stability and performance of our games with the definition of KPIs (LTV, retention, bugs, user progression etc).

Data Engineering:
• Contribute to maintain and to improve our data pipeline,
• Optimise data services to be able to manage ever-increasing amounts of data (via Apps flyer, Firebase, etc),
• Contribute to develop and maintain models used for analysis and reporting,
• Guarantee the security and integrity of data in strict compliance with the regulatory framework,
• Collaborate with the marketing team on topics such as automation & predictive modelling,
• Ensure the events tracking work properly in our games and ingesting all data into our Google Cloud-based data warehouse.

Qualifications

Previous experience on data analysis & data engineering topics for a mobile app / online product based company. It would be good if you have prior experience with massive data sets.

Passionate about building and managing teams. Previous experience in coaching / mentoring people is considered.

Tech stack : Strong technical proficiency in software, coding languages, and tools linked to data (Tableau, SQL, Python, Bigquery, GCP etc.).

Knowledge : Solid understanding of data analytics techniques, data management principles, and statistics. Data Science knowledge would be a big plus.

Emotional intelligence : As a people manager, connect and adapt your communication with your team & stakeholders depending on the situation and personalities.

Self management : You are self-aware & able to balance between personal responsibilities & team's needs.

Communication skills : Good verbal and written communication skills, good listening & reporting skills.

Finally, you are autonomous and eager to learn and to grow in a fast-moving and ambitious company!
Optional :
• Knowledge of mobile gaming is a plus.
• It's a plus if you speak a bit of français but it's not mandatory.
