This position will be working along side Telemundo Atlanta and Southeastern States. Job Summary/Description:

We are looking for a Spanish/Bilingual Meteorologist to join our award-winning news team. This meteorologist will be an essential part of our news team delivering local and regional weather forecasts throughout the Southeast on broadcast and digital platforms. The ideal candidate would prepare and deliver weather by forecasting, preparing graphics, and presenting live/taped weather updates/segments through digital, social media and broadcast. Candidate must possess passion for keeping our viewers safe during severe storms. Community engagement through events and stories will be a part of this role

Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
• Forecast weather conditions and produce/anchor weather reports in native Spanish on all platforms in a clear, engaging, and impactful manner
• Take ownership and execute local and regional weather forecasts
• Be familiar in latest weather technology
• Respond urgently to breaking and severe weather events on all platforms including broadcast, OTT, digital and social media
• Work collaboratively with other meteorologists throughout Gray
• Write and update detailed daily web stories
• Connect with the audience through event and stories.
• Take part in promotional activities and public appearances
• Ensure all weather content leads the market and meets standards for integrity and production value

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Minimum of bachelor's degree in Meteorology or a related/equivalent field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in weather anchoring preferred
• Superior native Spanish language communication skills and the ability to ad-lib
• Ability and willingness to work flexible schedule
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
