Job Summary/Description:
Fox Carolina is looking for an experienced Senior Reporter. Do you love to lead a newscast and help lead a staff by example? Are you a true storyteller? If you are, we have a Senior Reporter position for you. WHNS, (market 37) is looking for that person who can develop lead story ideas, cultivate sources and find enterprise stories that fit our brand.
If you bring energy, enthusiasm, love live shots, breaking news, and digging deeper this position is for you.
Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Pitching and researching enterprise stories daily
- Shooting, writing and editing content
- Ability to communicate complex issues and topics clearly
- Writing for broadcast and digital platforms
- Developing strong relationships with sources
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communications or related field, or equivalent training and/or experience.
• 5+ years experience in a working newsroom
• Experience with broadcast equipment used during the production of live or taped newscasts.
