Job Summary/Description:

WECT is looking for a full-time photojournalist (nightside) to join our news team. This is an entry level position, perfect for someone looking to gain experience and explore opportunities in the broadcast news industry. You must be self-motivated, have good communication skills and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. Primary duties include gathering video, interviews, and information, editing for broadcast and digital/social platforms, setting up/ executing live shots, and other duties as assigned.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Shoot video and interviews for news stories
- Non-linear editing for broadcast and digital platforms
- Writing for broadcast and digital platforms
- Basic news gathering
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in journalism, tv production, or related field- equivalent experience considered
- Non-linear editing experience
- Broadcast and print writing
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
- Flexible schedule
