WALB is owned by Gray Television and is a NBC, ABC, CW, Bounce and Circle affiliate. The station services over 30 counties across southwest Georgia.

Job Summary/Description:

WALB in Albany, GA is looking for a motivated Newscast Director to perform traditional production assistant duties (Direct, Audio, Chyron, and Studio Camera) as well as newsroom duties including but not limited to video shooting/editing and contributions to our digital platforms. College degree or work experience in a related field is required.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Newscast Direction
- Newscast Audio operation
- Camera adjustment and operation for newscasts
- Chyron graphics usage
- Creation of Graphics for Newscasts
- Learning and operating Master Control duties as needed
- Ability to maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving in a collaborative manner with co-workers, supervisors, and viewers
- Ability to maintain professional and ethical conduct at the station and in the community
- Be able to work well under strict deadline pressure
- Work a flexible schedule but not limited to overtime, holidays, and weekends
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:
- College degree or work experience in a related field is required
- Must hold a valid driver's license, be insurable and pass a mandatory drug screening
