News Producer / MMJ - WALBAbout WALB:
WALB is owned by Gray Television and is a NBC, ABC, CW, Bounce and Circle affiliate. The station services over 30 counties across southwest Georgia.
Job Summary/Description:
WALB in Albany, GA has an immediate opening for a full-time news producer. Our producers routinely produce 1-2 newscasts daily and are cross-trained on writing for all of our digital platforms. Producers are required to have sharp editorial judgment, an awareness of news in the community and across the nation, and an ability to communicate that to our viewers with broadcast writing and production.
As news producer you will craft newscast from start to finish. Write, produce and edit news stories. Communicate and collaborate with anchors, reporters and managers in both the newsroom and in the control booth during live newscasts. You are the captain of the ship!

Qualifications/Requirements:
- College degree in journalism or equivalent. Passion for journalism. Strong communication skills. Willingness to learn and grow in a collaborative news environment.
