Job Summary/Description:

KSLA News 12 in Shreveport, Louisiana is looking for a full-time News Producer. We are looking for a highly creative, motivated and goal-oriented person. We are looking for candidates with leadership skills who can work well with anchors, LIVE reporters, and directors. Must also be strong at managing breaking news and severe weather coverage, and be able to make sound split-second decisions during live broadcasts. Candidates with experience in producing newscasts as well as writing for a fast-paced digital-first focused newsroom is preferred. Multi-tasking is key as you will be juggling many things at once. College degree in journalism or related experience is required. Must be able to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays, etc.

Your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:
- Develop and produce a newscast
- Contribute story ideas during daily editorial meetings
- Contribute to our digital/social platforms

Qualifications/Requirements:
- College degree in journalism or related experience is required
- Experience in editing with Edius or similar platform preferred
