Job Summary/Responsibilities:
The dominant #1 NBC affiliate in Quincy, Illinois, has an immediate opening for a News Producer to produce our #1 newscasts and provide content to our digital platforms.
Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Your focus will be on producing real-time content for TV, Radio, Social Media and digital platforms.
- You'll be coached and challenged every day to achieve your full potential, while working in a brand-new digital newsroom.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Four year college degree preferred with significant news gathering, writing and producing experience.
- Strong writing skills are critical.
- Clear understanding of the principles of broadcast journalism.
- Ability to demonstrate personal characteristics such as professionalism, persuasiveness and aggressiveness which are necessary for effective news writing.
- Prior experience using news computer software programs is preferred.
