NEWS PRODUCER (PRIMARY) - WAFF

About WAFF:

For over 68 years WAFF has served its 10 county DMA and is North Alabama's most trusted source for news and weather. WAFF is the dominant station in the Tennessee Valley both on-air and on-line. We cover breaking news and weather all with a heart for the community.

Job Summary/Description:

WAFF is looking for a producer who loves news and wants to create memorable newscasts. Candidate must have solid news judgment. They must have a ''can-do'' attitude and handle change quickly.

Strong writer. Using ENPS daily and multiple others for story selection including NBC & CNN. Be strong communicator. Have strong working relationships with anchors, reporters and other producers.

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Candidate should have a college degree in journalism or related filed.
- Must be able to work longer hours for breaking news and elections - also holidays and weekends.
