NEWS ANCHOR (MORNING) - WEEK

About WEEK:

WEEK-TV is an award-winning station that leads the community in local news coverage and community involvement. It operates a number of TV stations in the Peoria, IL television market including WEEK 25 (NBC), Heart of Illinois ABC, and Peoria-Bloomington's CW.

Job Summary/Description:

The ideal candidate for this position will have at least 2 years of anchor experience, be able to produce a newscast, follow current events and present news stories to audiences in an informative, interesting and unbiased way. Keep abreast of news developments by studying papers, attending events, etc.

The candidate also must be able to create team moments, handle breaking news and give a warm presence to the audience. Responsibilities will be to communicate with MMJ's, Assignment Manager and Assistant News Director to anchor a fast paced, smoothly sequenced, and fact based newscast daily. Producing knowledge is required.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Candidate must have a degree in Journalism, Broadcasting, Communications, or a related field. You should have excellent writing and on-camera skills and a positive attitude.
