About KOLO:

KOLO 8 News Now is the ABC and CW affiliate television station serving the Reno/Sparks area, Northern Nevada and parts of the eastern California. KOLO broadcasts seven hours of news weekdays. We are also dedicated to serving the community through KOLO Cares, partnering with area non-profit organizations.

Job Summary/Description:

Develop story ideas and sources from the community. Report on stories as assigned, including shooting your own video, writing and editing. MMJs must also be active on social media and are responsible for posting to the station's website.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Experience with non-linear editing required. Two-years prior experience preferred. Candidates must provide a link to resume reel of sample stories. Candidates must also pass a drivers background check, free of major traffic violations. Knowledge and experience with ENPS and Edius is a plus.
