Job Summary/Description:

Start your career in our newsroom as a part-time digital producer. WCTV is a ''digital first'' newsroom where journalists are expected to break news and push out stories that are most important to our viewers.

Primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Breaking news with accurate and compelling articles/push alerts
- Crafting posts for our social media pages
- Clipping videos to attach to our web articles, or for standalone social posts
- Following up on viewer tips sent in through emails or direct messages
- Pitching and brainstorming ideas to help increase web traffic and audience engagement
- Performing other duties as assigned by supervisors

Qualifications/Requirements:
- An internship in a commercial newsroom
- Knowledge of CMS
- Working knowledge of web and social platforms
- A commitment to 100% accuracy
- A desire to grow in a newsroom and become full-time
