Job Summary/Description:

Connecticut's #1 news station has a golden opportunity for an Associate Producer who aspires to produce newscasts!
This is a fantastic chance to get your foot in the door and collaborate with the best journalists in the business. You'll learn how to produce newscasts, grow your writing skills and hone your editorial judgment.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Work with News Managers, producers and anchors to create and execute newscasts
- Participate in editorial meetings and pitch stories for coverage
- Select, showcase and write stories for newscasts
- Search social media, wires, network feeds and other sources to find relevant stories
- Makes graphics, maps and lower thirds for stories
- Log video and choose soundbites for stories
- Collaborate with directors on newscast production
- Communicate with field crews

Qualifications/Requirements:
• ️ This is an entry-level opportunity. You'll need a positive attitude, willingness to learn, strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate.
