Job Description
The Programming Director role will oversee all aspects of program planning and scheduling for Fremantle’s linear and FAST Programming Channels. The Programming Director will manage the day-to-day scheduling and operations, while contributing to the development of programming strategies and initiatives that increase viewer retention and engagement metrics.
This role will serve as a primary contact regarding internal scheduling communications and will monitor FAST channels’ key performance indicators. The Programming Director will partner with marketing, digital and creative services to execute on all programming priorities and stunts.
Job Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with senior management to develop successful and innovative programming strategies and channel schedules based on available content and data
· Plan all phases of the Buzzr and FAST schedules; including launches, long range planning, refresh rollouts and programming stunts
· Lead day-to-day scheduling for the linear and FAST channels
· Manage data dashboard to track KPIs
· Interpret and use viewership data to continually optimize performance of channels
· Manage Fremantle’s programming FAST inventory, including working closely with the Distribution and Global teams to identify available content
· Create high impact curated programming stunts that showcase content and connect with viewers and drive ratings/users
· Ensure efficient and effective communication of programming strategies, initiatives, and performance to stakeholders
· Distribute weekly and monthly schedules to internal and external partners
· Contribute best practices and programming concepts to the company
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
· 5+ years direct experience programming within a digital or traditional media company
· Bachelor’s Degree
· Motivated, diligent, and organized self-starter
· Strong analytical skills with the goal of using data to support the success of content selection and scheduling
· Ability to collaborate and work cross functionally
· Excellent communicator, with ability to effectively communicate through verbal, written and remote means
· Strong organizational and time management skills, able to multi-task projects with sharp detail
· Passion for TV & Media
· Knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint
