Technicien(ne) de la paie/ Payroll Technician

Responsibilities:
• Process weekly and off cycle payrolls;
• Collect, analyze and Verify payroll information;
• Review, Reconcile and Audit Time Cards for Accuracy;
• Extract/create time import files;
• Calculate and administer regular and special payments in accordance to State/Provincial/Federal legislation;
• Receive and transfer all onboarding information into applicable payroll systems;
• Support timekeeping system employee set ups and access administration;
• Process Separation Paperwork, Record of Employments and final payments to employees in accordance to legislative requirements;
• Maintain employee data files including the updating of trackers/imports;
• Set up Benefits in benefits and payroll platforms according to company policy
• Respond to employees and third party vendors;
• Comply with Company Policies and Government Legislation;
• Familiarize with Legislative updates and apply them within the payroll environment;
• Assist in internal and external auditing;
• Assist in Year End Procedures including the issuing of year-end tax documents and annual remittance reconciliation;
• Assist in other payroll related projects and implementations;
• Responds to employee verifications from various external agencies for detailed information on pay rates and wages paid
• Adhoc duties.

• Knowledge of Nethris or UKG software (an asset)
• PCP designation, in the process of obtaining it or interested in taking the training (an asset)

Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of payroll experience
• Bilingual (French and English, written and spoken)
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to be versatile and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel (Pivot tables, Vlookup, Formulas etc.)
