Job Description

Fox Television Stations is one of the nation's largest owned-and-operated network broadcast groups, comprising 29 stations in 18 markets and covering over 37% of U.S. television homes. This includes seven duopolies in the top 10 markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington, D.C. and Houston; as well as duopolies in Minneapolis, Phoenix, Orlando and Seattle.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Works closely with Sales Managers to ensure inventory is not unsold. Maintains related reports. Individual prints and distributes daily log and provides support to traffic personnel. In addition, candidate also serves as backup in Copy by maintaining commercial information to ensure accuracy of commercials aired. Responsibilities include maintaining commercial files, contacting ad agencies and gathering materials for production. Other duties as deemed appropriate to be assigned.
Verify logs conform to FCC regulations, i.e., IDs at top of the hour and Children's Programming commercial restrictions. (no alcohol, gambling/lottery/guns, questionable commercials), FCC Kids EI promo scheduled 1x per week, per station in Children's Programming. Front Load spots from later in the week when there is available time on the log. Notify Sales/Traffic Management of open avails in key time periods. Handle airtime inventory, clearing displaced spots for daily and one-week out logs. Skims cleared of any oversell 8 weeks out by COB on Tuesdays.

Verify Paid Program before printing log. Verify all programs have house numbers prior to printing. Review Hit Listed Programs prior to printing logs. Notify Creative Services when log is filled and ready for review. Verify all time is filled and all copy is complete; investigate all conflicts prior to printing the logs. Pull spot placement for Morgan and Nation Law to verify separation. Finalize Log and download to ITX Print logs. Deliver logs to Master Control. Work with Sales, Promotions, and Master Control on all log scheduling matters. Run Special Reports as needed. Research discrepancies when necessary. As always use best judgement and question anything that does not seem right.

Prior experience in Traffic preferred. Experience working in a Television Station a plus. Experience with Wide Orbit or other Traffic system a plus. Requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment is essential. Able to work overtime when necessary. High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.
