Job Description
FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the US These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network's national content.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Must be able to work independently, but in a team environment while monitoring and scrubbing multiple stations with Windows workstation clients, per standard operating procedures, with focus on quality of service. Use a ticketing software to make changes to traffic logs as requested by Traffic and Promotions departments. Will work closely with management and notify and escalate FCC compliance, automation, transmission and other issues that are critical to the operations. Take initial steps to troubleshoot issues pertaining to iTX automation and perform other duties as assigned by management.
Master Control or other broadcast experience and ability to follow standardized processes and procedures required to ensure FCC compliance of stations served. Must be available to work all possible shifts: nights, holidays and weekends. Knowledge and understanding of automation systems and familiarity with broadcast systems such as EAS, remote monitoring, discrepancy software and health reporting software. Must be able to operate multiple PCs. Have knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word as well as Adobe Acrobat is required. Must possess strong attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple and concurrent tasks with in-depth troubleshooting skills.
