FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the US These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network's national content.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Freelance Studio Technician is responsible for performing essential duties in the studio during live broadcasts as well as recorded production sessions.

Essential Duties and responsibilities:
• Control robotic cameras
• Load and operate prompter
• Target robotic camera pedestals
• Operate ETC lighting board
• Floor direct live broadcast and recorded broadcasts
• Operate a Jib camera
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:
• Strong general computer skills
• Detail oriented
• Excellent organizational skills
• Must be able to perform in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Excellent oral and written communications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. A degree from a university or college is a plus. Five years of experience in a television station with at least two years working as part of the crew for a live newscast. Steadicam experience is a plus.
