We are looking for a creative and versatile individual who has experience as a broadcast photographer and an electronic news gathering editor. This role will cover general news assignments in a fast-paced news environment using electronic camera and editing tools. Must understand various camera/media formats and elements that go into good storytelling and be able to identify and apply appropriate techniques into daily work. Recent on-the-street TV news photography experience required. Live ENG remote experience, including ENG truck operation, live streaming and field editing preferred. Excellent storytelling techniques including composition, use of audio, lighting and effective editing required. Edit ENG material for various newscasts under specific time constraints using state-of-the-art, non-linear editing equipment. Must have a working knowledge of Adobe Premiere editing platform. Familiarity with Bitcentral newsroom system and iNews. Must be able to work in a graphics-intense, high-production value news environment. Participation in the newsroom's social media initiatives is required. Ability to take direction, think critically under pressure, and work professionally as part of a cohesive team, and individually, in a deadline driven environment. Friendly, respectful and collaborative. Positive attitude, good news judgment and excellent communication skills. Interact effectively and professionally with on-air staff, off-air staff, production and technical crews, and management. Other duties as assigned. HS Diploma (or equivalent) required. 2-4 year college/technical degree preferred. Must have at least 1 year of news experience, working in an actual newsroom setting, in a technical photographer and news editor role. Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs. of equipment. Must be able to drive, have proof of insurance, have or obtain a valid driver's license, and maintain a clean MVR. Candidates must submit samples of editing work in the online portal. Weekends, holidays and varied hours required.
