Duties and Responsibilities:

Seeking a writer to support our afternoon and evening newscasts. This is an

excellent position for someone looking to gain writing and producing experience in

a top-rated newsroom. Writer must have strong journalism skills, understand

writing for television newscasts, work under tight deadlines, build graphics and

collaborate with producers and assignment desk. Writer will be trained to produce

newscasts and will fill-in on occasion. Only candidates interested in producing will

be considered. Other duties assigned as deemed appropriate and necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma is required; 4-year College degree is preferred. Experience with iNews or other newscast software is preferred. Excellent communication skills required.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $30.44-43.45 per hour for California. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
