Fox Television Stations is one of the nation's largest owned-and-operated network broadcast groups, comprising 29 stations in 18 markets and covering over 37% of US television homes. This includes seven duopolies in the top 10 markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington, DC and Houston; as well as duopolies in Minneapolis, Phoenix, Orlando and Seattle.


WTTG/WDCA – News Reporter/Anchor (Regular Full-Time)

FOX 5 DC / FOX 5 Plus – the #1 news station in Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia with the most hours of local original content – has a remarkable opportunity for an experienced journalist to join our award winning team! We are looking for a creative, forward-thinking individual with an engaging personality that can ignite conversations and turn interviews into compelling, newsworthy stories. You are comfortable using various platforms to engage viewers and provide the most essential local news and information to the community. You are curious, agile, and innovative. You have a focus for delivering timely and accurate news. You have an eagerness to dominate and be the first to report breaking news. You know what is important to your audience.

Responsibilities: An outstanding storyteller and live on-air performer with strong interviewing skills, solid journalistic judgment and the ability to ad-lib effectively. Investigate, research, write and report against tight deadlines in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment. Pitch powerful stories that uncover significant information that will receive attention. Must work cohesively with producers, editors and photographers to create captivating news stories and features, taped and live, to connect with the viewers and grow ratings. Must be able to work accurately and efficiently within time constraints. Work with social media to attract, inform and engage the audience. Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate their success at developing and maintaining powerful story source networks.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Journalism or related field required. 3+ years of news experience in a medium to large market. Investigative journalism required. Recent experience and proficiency with newsroom computers, live news technology and related software required.

Must have, or be willing to obtain, a valid driver's license and be able to drive. Local/national travel, weekends, holidays and varied hours required. Candidates must submit resume and video/link of recent work.
