Job Description
Fox Television Stations is one of the nation's largest owned-and-operated network broadcast groups, comprising 29 stations in 18 markets and covering over 37% of US television homes. This includes seven duopolies in the top 10 markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington, DC and Houston; as well as duopolies in Minneapolis, Phoenix, Orlando and Seattle.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Do you live and breathe local sports? Do you love to come to work on big sports days, debating the big plays, nurturing a creative and fun sports environment? Fox11 Los Angeles is the place for you. We are seeking a dynamic, passionate and creative SPORTS Producer who wants to take the lead and work with the team to create innovative segments, sportscasts and specials. You should love to be in the middle of the action and have great control room skills. Expect to handle breaking sports news and live specials. You'll need to have line producing skills including: accurate writing and copy editing, developing a rundown, creating graphics as well as video editing. Thorough knowledge of social media and how to manage social media engagement preferred. Our Sports producer must be a strong communicator and have leadership skills and be able to give direction while at the same time being a team-player and collaborator. Must fully participate in the editorial process that leads to story development and work with the sports team to bring their stories to air. You may be required to perform other duties on occasion: including line producing newscasts and writing for newscasts, field producing, special projects and other duties assigned as deemed necessary.

Requirements: Minimum 2+ years experience preferred. Previous experience as a sports show or sports line producer in a medium or large market preferred. Must be able to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines and multitask. Ideal candidate has familiarity with newsroom computer systems, graphics programs and video editing software. Candidate must be able to work flexible hours/shifts/shows; early mornings, late nights-and of course weekends and holidays-since sports events happen every day.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $45.92-45.92 per hour for California. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
