Fox Television Stations is one of the nation's largest owned-and-operated network broadcast groups, comprising 29 stations in 18 markets and covering over 37% of US television homes. This includes seven duopolies in the top 10 markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington, DC and Houston; as well as duopolies in Minneapolis, Phoenix, Orlando and Seattle.

JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX Television in Phoenix Arizona is looking for a qualified electronic news gathering candidate who can work as either a photographer or an editor. Position requires splitting work hours between both departments depending on where the greater need is. Duties include: Covering general news assignments in a fast-paced news environment using electronic camera & editing equipment; applying techniques appropriate to each story. Understanding of different camera/media formats required. Live ENG remote experience, including ENG truck operation, live streaming and field editing preferred. Excellent storytelling techniques including composition, use of audio, lighting and effective editing required. Must be able to edit material for various newscasts under specific time constraints using state-of-the-art, non-linear editing equipment. Must have a working knowledge of Adobe Premiere editing platform. Familiarity with Bitcentral newsroom system and iNews a plus. Must be able to work in a graphics-intense, high-production value, fast-paced news environment. This is NOT a still photography position and applicants must have recent TV news experience working in an actual newsroom setting. Candidate is expected to be willing to cross-train in other areas of the news operation if needed as well.

Weekends, holidays and varied hours req. HS diploma or equiv. req. College degree preferred. Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs. of equipment. Must be able to drive, have proof of insurance, obtain a valid Arizona driver's license and maintain a clean MVR. Resume and on-line link of recent work required of all applicants.
