Job Description
Fox Television Stations is one of the nation's largest owned-and-operated network broadcast groups, comprising 29 stations in 18 markets and covering over 37% of U.S. television homes. This includes seven duopolies in the top 10 markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington, D.C. and Houston; as well as duopolies in Minneapolis, Phoenix, Orlando and Seattle.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Edit video for assigned shows and reporter packages. Use editorial and visual judgment. Tune in incoming feeds from satellites and ENG sources. Create and add special effects to stories. Must have the ability to meet broadcast deadlines. Must possess working knowledge of nonlinear editing and newsroom computer systems. Familiarity with Edius and Bit Central a plus. Must have good news judgment.
Minimum of two years of experience as a video editor in a television news department is recommended. Candidates with strong writing, producing and photography skills encouraged to apply. Weekends, holidays and overtime as needed required.
