Fox Television Stations is one of the nation's largest owned-and-operated network broadcast groups, comprising 29 stations in 18 markets and covering over 37% of U.S. television homes. This includes seven duopolies in the top 10 markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington, D.C. and Houston; as well as duopolies in Minneapolis, Phoenix, Orlando and Seattle.

JOB DESCRIPTION
FOX 5 TV, Washington DC's #1 news station with the most hours of local news, is seeking an experienced Anchor/Reporter to cover local news for the television station. Candidates should have fully developed and polished anchoring and reporting skills. Ideal candidates will be highly creative individuals with the ability to research, write and deliver compelling news stories to maintain viewer interest. Must be an outstanding storyteller and live on-air performer with strong interviewing skills and the ability to ad-lib effectively. We are looking for leaders in the newsroom who work cohesively with producers, editors and photographers to create news stories and features that draw viewers to our segments. Must develop and maintain story source network and make public appearances on behalf of the station. Must be able to work accurately and efficiently in a team environment within specific time constraints. Must also demonstrate experience and proficiency with live news technology and newsroom computers. Ability to work with and an understanding of social media to attract, inform and engage the audience. Bachelor's degree in Journalism or related field required. Minimum 6 years anchor experience required. Must have, or be willing to obtain, a valid driver's license and be able to drive. Candidates must submit resume and video/link of recent work. Local/national travel required. Weekends, holidays and varied hours required.
