Fox Television Stations is one of the nation's largest owned-and-operated network broadcast groups, comprising 29 stations in 18 markets and covering over 37% of US television homes. This includes seven duopolies in the top 10 markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington, DC and Houston; as well as duopolies in Minneapolis, Phoenix, Orlando and Seattle.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Present factual, timely, accurate and responsible weather information. Experience in severe weather coverage and knowledge of industry-standard broadcast weather computer and radar systems. Great communicator with ideas on how to make weather current, relevant and interesting to viewers even on days when the weather is quiet. Demonstrated experience in use of social media and alert systems to disseminate weather information across multiple platforms. Ability to shoot/edit/report stories as well as do traditional weathercasts. Minimum of two years' experience as meteorologist, weather anchor/reporter in television. Possess strong journalistic reporting and presentation skills. Meteorology or related science degree required. Must be certified as a meteorologist. Working knowledge of weather graphics systems. Ability to shoot and edit. Team player. Ability to work varied hours and fill in on other shifts. Regular schedule includes on-air during weekend morning newscasts and working with meteorology team three days during the week.
