Fox Television Stations is one of the nation's largest owned-and-operated network broadcast groups, comprising 29 stations in 18 markets and covering over 37% of US television homes. This includes seven duopolies in the top 10 markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington, DC and Houston; as well as duopolies in Minneapolis, Phoenix, Orlando and Seattle.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The morning Executive Producer oversees all aspects of news production for KTVU's morning news programs and digital platforms. Qualified candidates will need to manage a large staff with the goal of producing relevant, quality news content using the highest journalistic standards and top production values. EP will be in charge of attending editorial meetings, assigning and generating stories, and reviewing scripts following the format, policy and guidelines established by news management. Also works with reporters, assignment desk and digital teams to make sure digital platforms are up to date and competitive. May work in the Control Room during broadcast to oversee presentation and changes in format. Candidate must be able to step-in and produce a newscast if/when needed, and be able to do it with the highest level of production and news value. Will also be asked to do other managerial tasks including, but not limited to, long term planning and staff scheduling. Other duties assigned as deemed appropriate and necessary.

Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university required. Must have a minimum of six years of line producing experience and experience working in the capacity of a TV Newsroom Manager or leadership role. Familiarity with Bit Central, iNews and Edius a plus. Must be able to meet aggressive deadlines while completing high quality broadcasts. Must have thorough understanding of social media platforms and experience posting to digital platforms. Qualified candidate will have excellent communication skills, written and oral.
