This includes seven duopolies in the top 10 markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Washington, D.C. and Houston; as well as duopolies in Minneapolis, Phoenix, Orlando and Seattle.

JOB DESCRIPTION
We're hiring a Digital Content Manager to be part of our Group Content Team (GCT), serving all 17 FTS markets with unique, high-quality content for our digital and social platforms. Reporting to the Digital Content Director, the Digital Content Manager will help this experienced team tell stories that matter most to users across the country. This position is based in our brand-new, 24/7 digital newsroom located in Los Angeles.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist Digital Content Director in guiding team that creates news and event-based content impacting users in all markets, including text stories, videos, photos/graphics, live streaming content, breaking news, and social media elements. Edit content created by Digital Content Creators before it is distributed to stations. Prioritize resources to cover mix of important national, international, breaking, and viral stories. Guide editorial decisions. Ensure content meets group standards. Monitor real-time analytics. Ensure clear group communication. Supervise the team on weekends. Take the lead on special projects. Produce content when needed. Perform other duties as deemed necessary and assigned.

REQUIREMENTS: 3+ years experience developing and publishing unique content, including news, for digital and social platforms preferred. Proven history as project lead and/or leader within a team. BA/BS degree, preferably in Journalism, Communications or related field with emphasis on digital publishing. Strong desire to advance in digital news career. Superior news judgement, writing and copy editing skills. Fanatical attention to detail. Thrive under pressure. Stellar communication skills. Social media expert. Proficient in content management systems, video publishing, live streaming, and digital analytics tools. Video and photo editing experience (Adobe products a plus). Weekends required. Will consider remote work from east coast location.
